Develop a cyber security solution that would enable users to live their lives freely and securely

Overview

A leading international software development company reached out to Conran for two fold challenges:

  • Brand equity: Due to aggressive marketing techniques, users/potential costumers were reluctant to engage with the product
  • Conversion/Renewal: The business was suffering from a high churn rate as they were falling at delivering what customers were looking for. They were also facing a very low conversion rate due to a confusing onboarding process that was also falling at delivering the product values.

Solutions

I started with conducting a workshop to identify the causes of the degradation curve and to identify potential opportunities.
Thanks a tool that was put at our disposal by one of our sister agency (APT), we were able to roughly identify two target demographics who were interested in cyber security and get real-time insight.
Off the back of this first analysis, we ran a primary research across the UK and the US to further refine the target demographics.
Once we’ve tighten the latter, I was able to create a set of personas that would drive the product UX and the future marketing campaigns.
And finally, to deliver a refreshed User Interface based on the new visual identity, we ran 5 sprints over a period of 10 weeks.

My role

I was the lead UX and UI designer on this project.
As mentioned above, I was in charge of organising and running the different workshops to bring the outcome to the next level.
Then, I took the raw data from the APT and the primary research to translate them into a set of detailed personas.
Now, that I have identified the behaviours of our potential users, I have designed simpler and more effective user flows to help ensure that the product experience is aligned to the needs and expectations of their target audiences.
I then had to mentor my team to design and deliver a compelling user interface that reflects the new brand vision and mission.
Overall, I was in charge to present the outputs of our work to the relevant stakeholders (Client’s leadership team and development team) and ensured the delivery of our project within our quality standards and in timely manner.
